First of all, we would like to express our sincere sympathy to all those who have been infected and affected by COVID-19.
In response to the current serious situations due to the spread of COVID-19, we will take the following counter measures, that is, implement WFH, early start time, and other working arrangements to ensure the health and safety of our employees, business partners, and other related parties and to help prevent the spread of COVID19, as shown below. We also announce here that there will only be a minor impact due to this situation on our business results for FY2019.

1. Working arrangements of YAMASHIN group

The Group will implement WFH and other working arrangements as shown below, to help prevent the spread of the new type of coronavirus infection and minimize health risks to employees, while ensuring stable product delivery and business continuity.

 i.WFH/ Telecommuting
WFH is implemented for all employees who can work from home due to the nature of their work, at the following locations (Headquarters: Yokohama-city, Yokohama Development Center: Yokohama-city, Yokosuka Media Lab: Yokosuka-city, AQC: Osaka-city)

ii.Other working styles and arrangements
Other working arrangements are available for people who have to come to the office due to the nature of their work, such as earlier starting hours. Those employees include those who walk to work and don’t have to use public transportation, or can commute by a private car or can secure accommodation facilities near the company. We will minimize disruption to functions at the head office, development, and production by these arrangements as much as possible.

The Saga Office (Kamimine-cho, Saga Prefecture) will operate as usual.
Overseas subsidiaries will also strive to minimize the risk of infection to their employees as per each government’s countermeasures, curfews and other directives, while maintaining their business operations.
Our working arrangements will be implemented until the end of the emergency declaration issued by the Japanese government, but are subject to change depending on the circumstances.

2. Product delivery
Currently, there has been no delays to delivery of our products because production bases are operating normally. We will promote company-wide efforts to produce and deliver products to our customers stably as scheduled.

3. Impact on business performance

At present, the impact on consolidated results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2020 is considered to be minor, and the forecast announced on February 5, 2020 has not changed.
We will keep a close watch on future trends and will promptly announce any issues that need to be disclosed.

The Group will continue to strive to help prevent the spread of the infection with the highest priority on the safety of employees and business partners, and to determine response policies based on government policies and action plans, and business continuity.
We appreciate understanding from our business partners and all the related parties.
